Programme profile
This programme emphasises the development of your creative identity and industry-specific skills and knowledge. Graduates pursue careers such as communication manager or concept developer within the event, music and entertainment industries. They end up at production companies, as television producers, at cultural institutions such as theatres, at event, fair and conference agencies and at internet companies.
Programme content
Subjects include Communication Theory, Practical Communication, Online Marketing, Research, Copy Writing, Visual & Concept Development, Law,Media Design, Project Management and Trend Watching. From the second year onward, students choose two out of seven industry specific courses: Event, Music, Live Entertainment, Television, Film, Gaming or Visitor Attractions.
During the first year you will have modules related to communications as well as to the event, music, entertainment and gaming industry. As the programme continues you will start specialising more and more. Also it’s possible to study a second language. Furthermore, it’s possible to spend your minor at a different (international) university. For minors outside of the Netherlands Fontys partnerships with universities from all over the world, for example, in the UK, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Mexico, Malaysia, the US, Australia and New Zealand.
