Programme profile
Only the first year of this programme is taught thtough English. Students will experience a full immersion into Italian language and culture, which will then prepare them to study years 2 and 3 mainly in Italian. Students will develop their knowledge in various subjects, in the Humanities area and will experience a full immersion into Italian language and culture which will then prepare them to study years 2 and 3 exclusively in Italian.
Students however do not need to know Italian as this will be taught during the first year of the programme.
Fees are fixed with reference to family income.
Programme content
In the first year, students choose from the following subjects: Ancient and Modern Empires; Medieval Art; Historical Villas & Palazzos; Medieval History; Classical Archaeology; Greek-Roman Urbanism; Theory and Methods of Archaeology; Society and culture of Ancient Egypt; Latin; Italian Literature; Italian Cinema; Modern Italian History; Moral Philosophy; Theoretical Philosophy; Aesthetics; Italian Opera; Italian Theatre.
From the second year, students wll take a full degree, through Italian, in History, Philosophy, Cultural Heritage Studies or Communication & Performing Arts.
